This is a step-by-step guide to get this elegant minimalistic at-home Gel Nail manicure. Let’s go!
Tools You’ll Need
A gel Top coat and Base coat. We used a no-wipe duo as they are more beginner friendly and perfect for at-home manicures.

A white color coat. Make sure it’s not a milky white. We need it to be as opaque as possible.
A brush or any tool you can use to draw the lines. The thinner and longer the brush is, the easier it’ll be to make all those beautiful and dynamic strokes. And the cleaner the result will be!

Having a bottle of acetone. Any acetone will do just make sure that it’s pure (100% Pure Acetone) and that it’s safe for the skin. We’ll use it to clean any mishaps.
Of course, since we are using gel nail polish, you will need to use a UV lamp or LED lamp. The size of the lamp doesn’t really matter it will just make the drying process faster (drying a whole hand is faster than doing it finger by finger).

Step by Step Minimalistic Gel Nail Art Design
Step 1:
Clean your nails, trim and shape them like you usually do.
Step 2:
Apply the Base Coat first. It’ll make your Gel manicure last longer. Cure with your lamp.
You can use a pealing base coat. This will make the removal process way easier, but it’ll affect how long your manicure will last.
Step 3:
Now it’s time to let the artist in you shine.
Get your brush, dip it into the white polish and draw similar lines to the ones in the picture.
It’s completely fine if they’re not perfect. What’s so great about Gel is that you can draw the lines as slowly as you want to. Take all the time you need! The polish won’t dry until it’s under the light lamp.
You can clean the misshapes with acetone and a brush or a q-tip.

After you are satisfied with the shapes cure with UV lamp for 2 minutes or cure with LED lamp for 60 seconds.
Ps: the curing time may vary so check the instructions that come with your lamp!
Step 4:
Apply the Top Coat. We used the no wipe top coat because it’s beginner-friendly and the glossy look is just so elegant! But you can experiment with the matte top coat (if you do please tag us).
Cure under the lamp and you’re done! Enjoy!

How To Remove Gel Polish?
If you used a normal base coat:
Start by filing the nail surface with a nail file to remove the top coat. Make sure to not file the top of your actual nail.
Then, soak your nails in a glass bowl filled with a small amount of acetone. Or wrap each nail in a cotton pad soaked with acetone for around 5 to 10 minutes.
The polish will start to become soft and you can gently file it away or slide it off using a small wooden stick or a cuticle pusher.
If you used a peelable base coat:
You will need to soak the nails in a glass bowl filled with a small amount of acetone or warm water (warm water is recommended as it’s more gentle). Then, go in with a wooden stick around each nail to push the polish off. It should slide off your nail easily.
Hope this was useful!
